Rapper, Ycee has taken to social media to complain over the absence of rappers from the lineup of Rick Ross Live in Lagos COncert.

The Maybach Music Group executive returned to Nigeria for the show tagged ‘Rick Ross Live In Lagos’ after his first trip in 2012.

He had stormed Lagos for the Summer Jam Fest 2012 concert.

He also seized the opportunity to shoot an alternate video for his ‘Hold Me Back’ song which immediately went viral.

He took to a slum in Lagos where he was seen spraying children dollars.

The Lagos concert took place on Thursday at Eko Hotel and Suites will feature popular artists including Davido, Tiwa Savage, Mayorkun, DJ Obi, The Cavemen, Fave, and DJ Yin among others

However, Rapper, Ycee wasn’t too pleased over the absence of rappers on the lineup.

Stating that his complaint wasn’t about him as he hasn’t put out rap music for quite a while, he called out the decision for organizers to host Rick Ross who is a rapper in Lagos and yet not include Nigerian rappers on the lineup.

According to him, this is one of the factors why Nigerian rappers are switching their sound and doing more of singing instead of rapping.

“Bruh this ain’t even about me cos I haven’t put out rap music in a while but how do you have a Rick Ross show in Nigeria and not have ONE SINGLE NIGERIAN RAPPER ON THE LINE UP???
And tomorrow you wanna come on twitter and ask why rappers are switching genres ????”

In another tweet, he berated Nigerian rappers who would see things like this and not complain, saying that they think everything is just about bars and ability.

He also pointed out that things like things are some of the factors that have been hindering the growth of rappers in the Industry.

A fan advised him that he could have made one surprise entry and performance nobody will stop him, and that he could have performed Jagban which will make Rick Ross bow to him.

The rapper in response laughed at the statement.
