<p>For a genre not considered in this mainstream space, <a href="https://mp3bullet.ng/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Mp3bullet.ng</strong></a> decided to take a spin on the Nigerian Electronic music scene with some of its top promoters like <strong>Sigag Lauren</strong>, <strong>Sensei Lo</strong>, et al, explaining why it can&#8217;t be underrated.</p>
<p>Though unrecognized, Nigerian Electronic music, which blends local elements such as percussion with Western electronic influences, is thriving among a growing and diverse audience.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://thenet.ng/edm-in-nigeria-pioneering-a-new-era-of-sound/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>NET</strong></a> would have it; &#8220;It is an untested territory that no big brand or name has been willing to associate with themselves yet.&#8221;</p>
<p>This means it is a less profitable business to engage and with that, labels will find it hard to sign anyone in that line.</p>
<p>Now, balling down to the reality of Electronic music otherwise known as Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in Nigeria, a good number of young talented Nigerians have put in their best to promote this style of sound in whatever ways they can.</p>

<p>Categorically, <strong>Sigag, </strong>an indigene of Bayelsa State and sensational producer is the leading protege of this genre in Nigeria.</p>
<p>He started gaining momentum by dropping remixes of top artistes songs like; Johnny Drille’s ‘Wait For Me’ and Simi’s ‘Smile For Me’.</p>
<p>Then, he furthered his with his lead single in 2018 titled, &#8216;Party Nights&#8217; featuring Deborah.</p>
<h3><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn">Sensei Lo (Nigerian electronic Music)</span></h3>
<figure id="attachment_722394" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-722394" style="width: 398px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-722394" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why-1.jpeg" alt="The Nigerian Electronic Music scene can't be underrated, here's why!" width="398" height="400" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why-1.jpeg 398w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why-1-150x151.jpeg 150w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why-1-300x302.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-722394" class="wp-caption-text">Sensei Lo</figcaption></figure>
<p>Being a full-time nurse, DJ, and music producer, <strong>Sensei Lo</strong> is another strong contender in the promotion of this art.</p>
<p>The 34-year-old Cleopatra started off with a feature on <strong>Electronic Music Began In Africa</strong> project by <strong>Moto Kiatu</strong> for the track, &#8216;Yele.&#8217;</p>
<p>Then, she proceeded in playing for various shows and events. Having become a doyen in the EDM space, <strong>Sensei</strong> decided to focus on expanding its relevance.</p>
<h3><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn"> Maze X Mxtreme</span></h3>

<p>This beautiful combo as producers took it upon themselves to think outside the box in making a change to the &#8220;common Afro sound.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to them, they have always loved the Afro vibe, however, it was too common and was not diverse.</p>
<p>Further elaborating their choice of sound, they were inspired by David Guetta&#8217;s Titanium melody and how it could capture thousands!!!</p>
<p>Considering it a &#8220;virgin area in the industry&#8221;, they have taken it upon themselves to sell the EDM potentials to the world.</p>

<h3><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn">CALIX (Nigerian Electronic music)</span></h3>
<figure id="attachment_722396" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-722396" style="width: 400px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-722396" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why...jpeg" alt="The Nigerian Electronic Music scene can't be underrated, here's why!" width="400" height="400" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why...jpeg 400w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why..-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Nigerian-Electronic-Music-scene-cant-be-underrated-heres-why..-150x150.jpeg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-722396" class="wp-caption-text">Calix</figcaption></figure>
<p>Young and energetic, <strong>Calix</strong> started off as a DJ in school, then got fed up with playing the same sound.</p>
<p>In his interview with NET, he explains that he heard a song on a radio played by DJ TTB, got curious, fell in love with it, then started researching.</p>
<p>The 27-year-old&#8217;s positivity about electronic music has been spelled out over time and he is assured that, by changing the song&#8217;s percussion by infusing African sounds while maintaining the electronic vibes, the tune will be appealing to a global audience.</p>
<h3><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn">Tropical Kenny</span></h3>
<figure id="attachment_722397" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-722397" style="width: 399px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-722397" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Tropical-Kenny.jpeg" alt="" width="399" height="400" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Tropical-Kenny.jpeg 399w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Tropical-Kenny-300x301.jpeg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Tropical-Kenny-150x150.jpeg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-722397" class="wp-caption-text">Tropical Kenny</figcaption></figure>
<p>Next is Tropical who got his inspiration from <strong>Sigag Lauren</strong>. Respectively, that was the push he needed to understand that Electronic music isn&#8217;t &#8220;rocket science&#8221; and can be done.</p>
<h3><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn">Neutron Inv.</span></h3>
<figure id="attachment_722401" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-722401" style="width: 400px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-722401" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Neutron-INV..jpeg" alt="" width="400" height="400" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Neutron-INV..jpeg 400w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Neutron-INV.-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Neutron-INV.-150x150.jpeg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-722401" class="wp-caption-text">Neutron</figcaption></figure>
<p>Further, <strong>Neutron</strong>, whose source of inspiration was from David Guetta&#8217;s &#8216;<strong>Titanium&#8217;</strong> song. He became obsessed and developed a love for any sound like it.</p>
<p>Since then, it has become a major thing for this youngster to promote this music style.</p>
<p><iframe title="Chiké - Nakupenda ft. Ric Hassani (Sigag Lauren Remix)" width="814" height="458" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9xwxTfYOUVc?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>As a matter of fact, there is a host of others who has devoted their time to the growth of this genre. Examples of such persons are;</p>
<p><strong>Jamie Black</strong>, <strong>Rhoseus</strong>, <strong>DysleX</strong>, <strong>D3AN</strong>, <strong>Weird Tyler</strong>,<strong> Beyo Jr</strong>, and many more!</p>
<p>In conclusion, with the likes of Sigag on this new invention, consistency, patience, and perseverance will take a toll on this sound and the desired results would be evident!</p>
