Nigerian singer, Wande Coal is already giving fans an insight on what to expect from his next album.

After more than ten years of constantly producing songs, Wande Coal’s place in Afrobeats history is indelible, and the legacy is still going strong.

The singer is gearing up for the release of a new album that will document his journey and establish his legacy in the Nigerian music industry.

The forthcoming album titled Legend Or No Legend was initially set to drop on the 30th of March, 2023. However, the project was shelved for April 7, 2023, but wasn’t released.

While there is no new release date for the album, Wande has given an indication of what to expect from his project.

According to him, the project is more like a handout for every generation and fans should pay close attention to the lyrics.

The biggest Afrobeats collaborations in history may occur in 2023, according to popular DJ Spinall, who recently shared information about a forthcoming single with three of the most well-known award-winning Nigerian musicians on his social media platforms.

DJ Spinall posted a video of himself in a recording studio alongside DJ Enimoney, vocalists Wande Coal and Fireboy DML, and rapper Olamide.

Even though DJ Spinall did not reveal or provide a sneak peek of what to expect from the three acts together, the video showed all the musicians working together on a single.

Fans are nevertheless enthusiastic about the prospect of such a collaboration being published in 2023 because the famous DJ is behind some of the most popular tracks in Nigeria, like “Palazzo,” which features Asake, “Dis Love,” which includes Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, and others.

Following the success of GPAS, he established his second company, Dr. Dolor Entertainment (DDE) in 2016, which is a record label and music distribution organization.

Audu Makori

Audu Makori is a Nigerian lawyer, entrepreneur, social activist, public speaker and creative industry expert. He is the co-founder and President of Chocolate City Entertainment.

He launched Chocolate City alongside Paul Okeugo and his brother Yahaya Maikori as directors of the company.

In January 2005, Chocolate City signed Jeremiah Gyang under a recording and management contract and re-released the album ‘Na Ba Ka‘. In mid-2006, M.I was signed up to Chocolate City.

Others like Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Ruby Gyang were signed to the label.

In 2015 Audu via Twitter announced his exit as CEO of Chocolate City Music and the appointment of M.I as the new CEO of Chocolate City Music, with label mate Ice Prince Zamani as the Vice President of the music label.

He started his music career as a producer in 2003 and is famous for rapping in the Igbo language. Under his Penthauze label, Phyno released his debut album, “No Guts No Glory“.

Penthauze in 2011 had Runtown, Shugaboi and Flipside on its bill. It signed Storm Rex in 2014, the singer becoming the label’s sole female act.

The label as a crew announced itself with the song ‘Camera Out’ (2011). Runtown, however, left the label in 2013. Currently, the label houses Afro trap rapper, Cheque who became popular in 2020 thanks to his hit song, “Zoom“.

Azeez Adeshina Fashola known by his stage name as Naira Marley is a British-Nigerian singer and songwriter.

Damilola Akinwunmi created DAPPER Distribution, Records (also term as DVPPER) in 2017 as a Nigerian distribution firm and record label situated in Lagos, Nigeria.

It has released albums in a number of genres, but their Afrobeats music is its most well-known.

DVPPER has distributed so many musicians such as  Omah Lay, Ice Prince, SkiiBii, Sean Tizzle, Rexxie, Broda Shaggi, Sound Sultan, Lyta, KLY, Blaq Jerzee, Ola Dips, Nappy, Mr Real, Black Magic, Klever Jay, Savage

Starboy Entertainment

Global Pop singer Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid established StarBoy Records after departing Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) in 2013. He released his second album Áyo’ via the label.

Wizkid is the major artist in this label and so far has made great music following his relatively new label. Some associated music acts in his label include Maleek Berry, Legendary Beatz, L.A.X.

“Sugar Daddy” is another wonderful collaboration between DJ Enimoney and Olamide. The song is basically pure vibes, catchy lyrics and Lamba.

Joeboy- Consent

“Consent” is a boppy, conscious track from his debut album, “Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic”, which opens with an age-old popular chant believed to have originated in South Africa.

On The Semzi-produced track, Joeboy warns, “don’t be foolish, don’t act stupid”.
