The nominations for the 2023 award ceremony have been announced by the Ghana Music Awards UK organizers. The nominees’ gala night for the 2023 Ghana Music Awards UK took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on Friday, August 4, 2023.

The event hosted by KMJ saw top-tier industry players present on the night including performances by FBS and Perez Musik

Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and Stonebwoy are just a few of the well-known performers to receive many nominations in a range of categories, including Best Male Artist, Best Highlife Artist, Best Afrobeats Artist, Best Song of the Year, Artiste Of The Year, and others.

Following a spectacular premiere in Ghana at the Airport View Hotel in Accra, the nominees for the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2023 have been announced.

The launch saw performances from veteran Gospel Artist Joyce Blessing, legendary Akousa Agyapong, and more.

Ghana’s music research hub, Remedi Entertainment, released the 2023’s Ghana Music Awards Europe nominees. All works nominated fall under the calendar year from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

The date for the awards will be announced shortly after a change in date, CEO Osaah Special said on Hitz103.9FM’s This Is Gospel.

The awards presentation was originally scheduled for May 6, 2023, however, a new date will soon be released.

Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto has revealed the two ways in which award-winning dancehall act Shatta Wale is an inspiration to him.

According to him, it was Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale who helped him realize that music is not always about having a good singing voice.

On CTV’s Class Showbiz, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, he responded in this way when asked about the circumstances that led to the change from being a disc jockey to a recording artist.

“I’m even surprised God gave me the voice to do music, because I don’t really have a good voice for singing,” he confessed.

“But [observing] Shatta Wale and a host of others, I’ve noticed music is not necessarily about a [good singing] voice,”

DJ Azonto, the Amapiano King of Ghana, has reaffirmed that his popular single “Fa Ne Fom” is the biggest song to be released in 2022.

In recent weeks, DJ Azonto made the promise to offer his G-Wagon to any musician who releases a song in 2022 that is more popular than “Fa Me Fom.”

According to DJ Azonto, he was confident that his groundbreaking single is the biggest song in Ghana thus far, and no artiste can claim the contrary.

“My G-Wagon is still available, and no artiste has been bold enough to make a claim for it. Well, with a few days left to end December, the G-Wagon is still available for any musician who has a bigger song than ‘Fa Ne Fom.”

In advance of the Christmas celebrations, the recently released song “Kaba Ne Skirt” by DJ Azonto is creating waves and dominating the charts.

This Friday, December 9, DJ Azonto is expected to release a new song titled VGMA. As part of his Christmas celebrations, he will also host a massive concert at Kwashieman Park in Accra on December 25, 2022, and he has promised to give a 2022 Pink Lexus sports car to the fan who wins the “Fa Ne Fom” dance competition.
