In one of the most heartwarming moments of the EFG London Jazz Festival, four-year-old Deja, daughter of Nigerian Afrobeats star AG Baby, took center stage literally by introducing her father during his grand closing performance at the Royal Festival Hall.

The tender moment came just before Adekunle Gold launched into his orchestral finale with the 50-piece Guildhall Session Orchestra, a prestigious ensemble of alumni from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

The performance was historic: Gold became the first Nigerian and among the very few African artists to headline a full orchestra show at the festival.

Gold’s set reimagined some of his most beloved hits, including Many People and Sade, weaving lush strings and sweeping brass arrangements into his signature Afrobeats sound.

The fusion of classical orchestration with modern rhythms created a fresh and expansive listening experience that had the audience captivated.

A beautiful family moment has stolen hearts online after Adejare “Deja” Kosoko joined her parents, AG Baby and Simi, on stage during Simi’s Lagos concert.

The 37-year-old singer, born Simisola Bolatito Kosoko (née Ogunleye), is no stranger to lighting up stages with her soulful voice. From her gospel beginnings with Ogaju (2008) to the breakout hit Tiff (2014), and chart-topping albums like Simisola (2017) and Lost and Found (2024), Simi has cemented her place as one of Afropop’s most cherished voices.

Beyond her music, her marriage to Adekunle Gold in January 2019 has been admired as one of Nigerian entertainment’s most inspiring love stories, with their daughter Deja often seen as the perfect symbol of their union.

On October 1, 2025, Simi hosted an intimate concert at the Hard Rock Café, Lagos, marking her long-awaited return to the stage. Fans filled the venue with excitement, thrilled to experience her live after such a break.

Nigerian singing diva, Simi has sent a message to those who have been propagating rumours that she paid people to promote her album.

Recall that Mp3bullet.ng previously reported that a troll had claimed that the singer paid people to promote her recently released project, “To Be Honest”.

He also stated that he was sure his tweet was the first organic tweet about the project.

Simi in response didn’t insult him but was kind of amused by the comment.

In a follow-up tweet, Simi aired her opinion on these rumours and said that people claiming such rumours are actually complimenting her.

She also sarcastically showed her gratefulness to these trolls.

She wrote;
