The 30BG boss has taken to his social media page to make a surprising statement regarding his record label, leaving many people guessing what’s next.

Davido has announced the signing of a new act under his Davido Music Worldwide label (DMW) by the name of ‘Toby K.’

Nigerian successful prolific singer, songwriter and recording act, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has cautioned his 30 Billion Gang members about the potential of kicking them out of the clique.

In a recent video spotted by Mp3bullet.ng the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) CEO and frontline performer joked that any member of the clique who refused to give him a million naira would be thrown out.

According to the award-winning musician and afrobeats poster-boy, he is tired of being the only one who believes in the slogan “we rise by lifting others,” which is a famous statement among the crew who believe in helping others.

OBO stated in the video that he, too, wants to be lifted by his friends, as he has done in the past.

The Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, who is also the CEO of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) has been nominated in five categories for the 2021 African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA).

The AEAUSA awards is an annual event aimed at celebrating African music and entertainment, it usually has 30 categories in total.

Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tems, and other African artists were also nominated in some of the categories in which OBO was nominated.

Nigerian Award-winning pop singer Mayowa Adewale, better known as Mayorkun, has disclosed why he didn’t feature his former label boss, Davido in his new album “Back In Office”, his premiere release with Sony Music.

Recall, Mayorkun got signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016 and has collaborated with Davido for several years.

However, rumor has it that he just quietly left the record label because his contract was not renewed.

His latest album, ‘Back in Office,’ proves that he is no longer with DMW because it was not promoted by the label and does not have its logo on the record cover.

Mayor said:

“Most people don’t know how creating an album works; sometimes, it’s a group of songs you’ve had way back and just compile together”.

“The songs that we have together I don’t feel like it’s for this album but for a later time”.

“I and Davido have songs together and it is not a situation that I took out his song for my album.”

On 27, September 2021, He took to his Twitter page to unveil the title and date to his fans.

In his post, he announced that his new hit single will be dropping in October and it seems it will be titled “Back In Office”.

Taking to his Twitter page, Davido narrates how he feels and all the ordeals he has to face because of his demise.

In his words:

“This is by far the hardest thing I’ve had to write. Hurt, broken, sad, and lost. For the first time in my life, I am EXTREMELY confused. The pain is one I cannot explain. 44 was more than an elder brother to me, he was a protector. someone that literally just always made me smile

“The Rum part represents, or tells, all the love stories and the emotional stuff,” he tells Apple Music, while Boogie is something that he has never tried before.

According to him “we decided to make it the happy part—it has all the club songs, all the uptempo songs. It’s all the stuff people haven’t seen me do before—me trying new things.”

A personal review

The fifth thing about this album is considered from a personal point of view, and that’s the “no flop” side to the album.

Apparently, I feel the album has all 20 tracks wonderfully produced and a show of creativity from Peruzzi’s side cannot be over-emphasized. Also, this is an album I personally have a “love at first sight” affection for.

Though the album ought to have been out since last year 2020, releasing it this year with no bad sides to it makes all the rage of prolonging it go away.

The 31-year-old Peruzzi is one of the finest songwriters and performing artistes the  Nigerian music industry has.

He started off his music career at a tender age when he started recording songs at age 7.

He began with Golden Boy Records in 2016, before getting signed to Davido Music Worldwide in 2018.

Though his signing to DMW was being disputed at some point because his former label boss Patrick Anyaene accused him of breaching a contract with his record label.

In a 17- tweet thread, Patrick narrated how he met him, helped him, signed him, and how he broke their contract.

Peruzzi started gaining prominence when he featured in 2Baba‘s hit song ‘Amaka‘ in 2018.

He released his own hit track Majesty in 2019 under his label DMW, and since then it’s been from fame to fame.

Dremo:

This DMW rap frontier is one whose rise to fame could not have been achieved without Davido’s help.

Started his music professionally in his first record label APPE Gang in 2013.

Apparently, he didn’t make it to stardom for over a year and a half.

This DJ’s relationship with Davido can be dated as far back as 2010, as they’ve both been doing a lot of work back in Atlanta.

On January 4, 2018, he released the song that brought him to the limelight in Nigeria “Ada” featuring Davido.
