Nigerian alternative, singer and performer, Bolaji Odojukan, popularly known as BOJ, has revealed how Wizkid surprised him and jumped on the remix of his song “Awolowo”.

BOJ claimed in an interview that no matter how close somebody thinks they are to Wizkid, he can jonze them.

While elaborating, the alternative artist stated that he was shocked when Wizkid’s management informed him that Wiz would like to feature in his song Awolowo, which also featured Darkovibes.

According to BOJ, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing since he knows Wizkid can ‘jonze’ (disappoint) anyone, so he had to contact Starboy management to request Wizkid to give his verse.

The alternative artist goes on to say that he didn’t want to feel on top of the world just to end up feeling nothing.

The DRB Lasgidi member has announced that Vol. 2 of “Gbagada Express” would be released on June 2nd, 2023, after the release of two songs in 2023, ‘2 Bad‘ and ‘Line of Fire,’ both of which feature Ayra Starr.

Odumodublvck, Ayra Starr, Tay Iwar, British rapper Knucks, and Ghanaian singer Mellissa are anticipated to be featured on the next project.

Wendy Shay, the female musician in Ghana with the most streams in 2022, has achieved yet another triumph with the 2023 Shay edition of the “Shay Concert.”

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, thousands of music lovers and supporters of  Shay arrived for a blissful night at the West Hills Mall forecourt for the third instalment of the concert, which was powered by Ruff Town Records and sponsored by Ebony Condoms.

Through her charity and Rufftown Records,  Shay planned a free health test and a vaccination session at the same location before the event, which got underway at about 7 o’clock. When the show finally started, the award-winning singer-songwriter wowed the audience with an hour of nonstop, energising performance while dishing out timeless tunes from her catalogue.

Oxlade has revealed why Ghanaian singer Darkovibes is so special to him.

In an interview with “OnTheRadarRadio,” Oxlade referred to Darkovibes as one of the most genuine individuals he knows and said that even before he became famous, the Ghanaian artist treated him like royalty.

“I’ll comment on anything Darko posts. That’s my broski there. That’s one of the realest people.

“Why I rate him different is ’cause even before the fame, before I became who I am right now, Darko treated me like royalty. And that’s why I treat him the same way.

“When you see people that cherish you like that, you reciprocate that energy,” Oxlade said.

On how long they’ve been friends, Oxlade said they became close this year during the time his sex tape was leaked.

According to the ‘KU LO SA’ singer, the time was a scandalous moment for him but Darkovibes came through for him and was supportive.

“Funny how we just got really close this year. I met him during one of the lowest periods of my life this year.

“I had a very scandalous moment. And things just went really south and dark for him.

During that same interview, Oxlade disclosed the startling reason he does not smoke. The singer of “Ku Lo Sa” disclosed that his lack of smoking was due to his asthma.

“What else, I’m asthmatic, many people don’t know. I’ve got asthma. So I don’t smoke, at all” he told the interviewers.

Ghanaian singer and songwriter Paul Nii Amu Andrew Darko, also known as Darkovibes, has made some claims about his songs most especially ‘Je M’appelle’ in which he featured Afrobeat superstar Davido.

Darkovibes recently stated that the vast majority of his songs are evergreen and would not fade into obscurity, unlike other mainstream songs that ‘expire’ in a few months.

The Ghanaian singer who teamed up with Nigeria’s Davido on the song ‘Je M’appelle’ also says that particular track will linger on forever because he did that song with a special kind of vibe.

Nigerian Afrobeat singer, songwriter, and performer, Bolaji Odojukan, popularly known as BOJ, has announced the release of the deluxe version of his recent studio project ‘Gbagada Express’.

The alternative singer will soon release a deluxe version of his third studio album as a follow-up.

BOJ earlier in 2022 released his third studio album, “BOTM,” after the release of “Magic,” in 2016 and, earlier that year, “BOTM.”

The organizers of the  Ghana music awards have announced the full list of nominees ahead of the event scheduled to take place on the 29th of October 2022.

The 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which was held on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 8, 2022, in Accra’s Grand Arena, was a memorable award ceremony that saw some of Ghana’s top celebrities come together to honour African music.

The first night of the event saw Fameye, Wizkid, Kweisey Pee, Stonebwoy and MOG Beatz take home awards.

On the second night, KiDi, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Sefa, and other artists received awards.
