A memorial event honouring Costa Titch, also known as Constantinos Tsobanoglou, will be held this week, according to reports, the memorial service was scheduled for Thursday but was postponed because of the late rapper’s followers.

The newly disclosed time is Saturday, March 18, 2023, and the location is Bloom in Bedfordview at 14 Hawley Road.

The memorial service’s dress code is all-black with a dash of green and In his residence in Mpumalanga, a second memorial service will be held.

There are a limited number of tickets available for the inaugural service, even though they are not for sale.

The reason for cancelling Costa Titch‘s memorial ceremony, which was scheduled for Thursday, has been given by his family and colleagues.

The funeral for dancer and rapper Costa Titch, which was scheduled for this Thursday, March 16, has been postponed, according to the Tsobanoglous family.

The performer, whose true name was Constantinos Tsobanoglou, passed away on March 11 in Johannesburg at the Expo Center while onstage at the Ultra Music Festival.

Actress Ntando Duma posted a note from the family on her Instagram stories on Thursday, saying they would love for every one of the Big Flexa hitmaker’s Titch Gang supporters to come.

“We regret to inform you that Costa Titch’s Memorial will be postponed. This is due to some of the Titch Gang Fans nationally and worldwide who would have loved to be part of this but are unfortunately unable to make it, due to the short notice.” read the postponement statement.

“As we all know Costa was all about inclusivity and unity, he would have loved to have everyone who he loved, and who supported him to all be there.”

The family also stated that a new date and location details would be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, A police report on Sunday stated that there is still no information regarding Costa Titch‘s cause of death.

“We can confirm that the police in SAPS Booysen have registered a case of inquest following the death of 28-year-old Mr Costa Tsobanoglou on 11 March 2023. It is reported that Tsobanoglou collapsed while he was performing at the Ultra South Africa concert at Nasrec,” read a statement according to SABC News.

“Post-mortem will determine the cause of death,” the statement continued.

The performer reportedly had a seizure, which the Weekend Argus stated may have been brought on by the flashing lights. According to the publication, it was well known that the musician had epilepsy, a condition that affects the brain and results in seizures.

After the tragic deaths of rappers Kiernan Jarryd Forbes and Costa in the span of a month, the South African music industry has suffered severe damage.

Meanwhile, AKA, actual name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was shot and killed on February 10 in Durban. Costa, whose true name was Constantinos Tsobanoglou, died on March 11 after passing out while performing at the Ultra Music Festival and his cause of death hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The two deceased musicians collaborated on tracks, including one of their top hits, Nkalakatha Remix, which included the late rapper Riky Rick, who died in February 2022 after committing what is believed to be suicide.

AKA discussed the origins of several of their partnerships in an interview from September 2022 on The Episode podcast on YouTube. The Mbuzi rapper admitted to the hosts that Costa Titch’s support got him out of his dark place.

With the unexpected passing of rapper and dancer Costa Titch, actual name Constantinos Tsobanoglou, on Saturday, March 11, the South African music industry is mourning the loss of yet another musician.

After passing out on stage at the Johannesburg Ultra Music Festival on Saturday, the 28-year-old died.

The family of the amapiano and hip-hop performer revealed his passing in a brief statement. The emergency personnel and those who helped him in his final moments were also thanked by the Tsobanoglou family.

“Death has tragically knocked at our door. Robbing us of our beloved son, brother and grandson, Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), who South Africa had come to love and idolize under his stage name “Costa Titch”. We find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time with deep pain.

“We are thankful for the emergency responders and all those who were present in his last hours on this earth. As a family, we are faced with a difficult time as we try to make sense of what has befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves,” the family said.
