Davido reveals why he’s yet to collaborate with Wizkid on a song.

You all will agree with me that Davido and Wizkid are really making us proud in through out the Africa when it comes to dishing out good music, but we are yet to get a collaboration from both of them, Well, there are always reasons behind every actions.

Davido who has taken over the music industry with songs like Fia, If, Assurance, Like Dat, The Sound, Skelewu, Fall, Gobe, and more, while Wizkid has been buzzing our playlist with the likes of Soco, Manya, Nowo, Ojuelegba, Show You the money, Come Closer, Jaiye Jaiye, Daddy Yo and more but Where’s the collaboration we have been expecting? Will it happen soon? I guess that’s why Davido has decided to gist us about what we don’t know.

Davido has finally spoken on why he has not recorded a song with ‘Starboy’ Wizkid.

The ’30BG’ crooner, who won big for his label at the 2018 Headies award, said a collaboration with Wizkid would not be planned but have to come naturally in order to have the best.

According to him, this would only happen when the time was right. Davido revealed this on Soundcity Fm.

He said: “On my collaboration with Wizkid, I feel like if it will happen, it will happen naturally.

“If we plan it, we might not do our best. Whenever the time is right, it will happen.”

On why his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) has no female presence he said: “If there was a female, we will be too overprotective.”

Davido at the just concluded 12th edition of the headies won three awards.

It’s all beginning to make sense now. Apparently, Drake and Popcaan recorded their own version of Wizkid‘s “Come Closer” a while ago, but held it back due to “Come Closer” being lined up as a Wizkid single. Now, their version has leaked online with the title “My Chargie”.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but I won’t say much. In the words of Drake, “Tell me your secrets, I’m not messy.”
