Excitement is building in the music scene as Jamaican artist Shenseea prepares to release her highly anticipated sophomore album, “Never Gets Late Here,” on May 24, 2024.

Among the 14 tracks on the album, one collaboration stands out: Shenseea collaborated with Nigerian artist Wizkid on the song “Work Me Out.”

The announcement of Wizkid’s appearance on Shenseea’s album has sparked excitement among fans, indicating a blend of Caribbean and Afrobeat rhythms that promises to enchant listeners worldwide. This collaboration demonstrates Shenseea’s dedication to pushing musical boundaries and crossing cultural barriers through her art.

In addition to the collaboration with Wizkid, “Never Gets Late Here” includes a diverse variety of tunes, such as “Hit & Run” starring Masicka & Di Genius, “Flava” with Coi Leray, and “Red Flag” featuring Anitta. Shenseea’s versatility throughout genres, including ballads, R&B-style tracks, and dancehall influences, guarantees that her listeners have a dynamic listening experience.

Shenseea’s debut album, “Alpha,” made waves on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, setting high expectations for her sophomore release. With the inclusion of Wizkid on “Never Gets Late Here,” Shenseea aims to further solidify her place in the music industry and continue her trajectory of success.

CKay and Amaarae have made the list for TikTok’s Emerging Artists of 2021 after an amazing year for both of them with viral hits to their names.

The list was released on Monday, the 13th of December 2021.

With their successful songs, Amaarae and CKay both made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 this year.

Love Nwantiti by CKay, which was released in 2019 as part of his CKay The First EP, has gone viral this year thanks to a remix by Moroccan rapper El Grande Toto.

The song became almost inescapable on TikTok amassing over a million video creations.

Amaarae’s Sad Girls Luv Money was released on her 2020 album, The Angel You Don’t Know, and she created a remix version with Kali Uchis and Molly which became a TikTok sensation.

Along with performers like Coi Leray, Baby Tate, Jay Wheeler, CKay and Amaarae made the TikTok Emerging Artists of 2021 list.

The musicians on the list were the most popular on TikTok this year.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards which was held last night saw some of the biggest stars in hip hop honoured with awards.

Among the big winners were Tyler, the Creator, who was honoured with the inaugural Cultural Influence Award, also won Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion took home three awards for “WAP.” Followed closely by Lil Baby who won two awards, including Artist of the Year.

Yung Bleu was named Best New Hip Hop Artist, and J. Cole was named Lyricist of the Year.

The show featured performances from Baby Keem, Isaiah Rashad, Young Thug, and more.

With nine nominations each, Cardi B, Lil Durk, and Megan Thee Stallion lead the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees. With eight nods, Drake is in the second position.

With four nominations each, Tyler, the Creator and Metro Boomin tie for third place.

They’re followed by 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, and Pooh Shiesty, who each received three nods, as well as Bia, Chris Brown, Doja Cat, Jay Z, Lil Nas X, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Saweetie, Young Thug, and Yung Bleu, who each received two nods.

The only group or pair with two more nominations is Migos.

Cardi B, Drake, J. Cole, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyler, the Creator are the nominees for hip hop artist of the year.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards will hold at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 1 and will premiere on BET on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The show will simulcast internationally on BET Africa on Wednesday, October 6 AT 3 AM CAT.

The BET Hip Hop Awards are an annual awards show, airing on BET, showcasing hip hop performers, producers and music video directors.
