The freestyle first made waves during a 2025 livestream hosted by Drake, where the Canadian superstar teased his forthcoming album, Iceman.

On the track, Central Cee strips things back to basics. The production is minimal yet heavy, creating space for his voice to dominate. There are no distractions, just razor-sharp bars, calculated wordplay, and a flow that feels both effortless and deliberate.

“Iceman Freestyle” sees him leaning comfortably into his trademark cool, composed delivery. Each line lands with precision, reminding listeners why he remains one of the UK rap scene’s most consistent storytellers. It’s confident without being loud, measured without losing its edge.

With this release, Central Cee keeps his momentum firmly intact, offering fans a clean, no-frills showcase of lyrical strength and commanding presence.

“Iceman Freestyle” is now available across major streaming platforms. Tap in, turn it up, and join the conversation.

Born on June 4, 1998, in London, Central Cee is the son of an English mother and a father of Guyanese and Chinese descent. After his parents separated when he was seven, he was raised by his mother alongside his two younger brothers in Shepherd’s Bush.

The rapper is also well known among Nigerian music fans, thanks to his collaboration with Asake on Wave, a track off Asake’s Lungu Boy album, which helped further expand his global reach.

Central Cee’s music journey began in 2014 when he appeared on the now-deleted Fire in the Streets series. His first official song appearance followed in January 2015 on the Ain’t On Nuttin Remix, where he featured alongside J Hus and other artists.

His breakthrough moment came on June 14, 2020, with the release of Day in the Life. Since then, Central Cee has steadily climbed the ranks to become one of the most prominent figures in the UK drill music scene.

The countdown to Detty December just got louder, as Flytime Promotions has finally unveiled the full lineup for the 2025 Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged concert, and the roster is stacked.

For weeks, fans speculated about who would be joining the earlier-announced trio of Rema, Central Cee, and Moliy. Now, the suspense is over.
The organisers have dropped the complete list, and it reads like a who’s who of Afrobeats heavy-hitters, rising stars, and global collaborators.

Set for December 21 at the Eko Convention Centre, this year’s Rhythm Unplugged doesn’t just open Flytime Fest; it sets the tone for the entire Lagos holiday season.

The hype has been building since the moment Rema and UK rap sensation Central Cee were confirmed as headliners. Add Moliy into the mix, and fans already knew they were in for something special.

But the full reveal shows Flytime had an even bigger show in the works.

The 2025 edition brings together a fiery mix of chart-toppers, street kings, soulful voices, and fast-rising sensations the kind of blend that turns a concert into a cultural moment.

Here’s the full artist lineup for Rhythm Unplugged 2025:

Rema

Central Cee

Moliy

BNXN (Buju)

Shallipopi

Smada

BLNDE

Chella

Famous Pluto

FOLA

Mavo

Odumodublvck

Shoday

Zaylevelten

Zerrydl

With Coca-Cola as the headline sponsor and Flytime at the helm, this year’s show is already shaping up to be one of the hottest tickets of December.

Tickets are on sale now via Flytime Fest’s official platforms and partner outlets, and if previous years are anything to go by, they won’t last long.

This one is a return to the concrete, a gritty street dispatch that feels like it was recorded under a flickering estate light. It’s a “raw, no-hook heater,” intentionally stripped of any glossy edges or melodic shortcuts.

No sing-along chorus, no radio polish, just Cench, a drill beat that growls from the belly of West London, and enough lyrical pressure to crack pavement.

The energy on Booga is unmistakably that of Central Cee, who first shook the scene. He’s in his “Quarter Zip” era again, channelling the mindset, the fashion, and the hunger that defined his early days.

Every bar lands with a sharpness that suggests he hasn’t forgotten his roots, even if the rest of the world has been trying to dress him in pop-star silk.

The verses are laced with coded slang and layered wordplay, and that signature Cench self-awareness speaks directly to the ones who have been studying his pen from the very beginning.

He takes subtle jabs at doubters and imitators, delivering them with a cool composure that makes the punch hit even harder. It’s storytelling, chest-beating, and technical flexing rolled into one tightly wound drill performance.

Booga isn’t just a song; it’s a statement of balance. It is Central Cee planting a flag in familiar terrain, reminding listeners that while he can chase global charts and American co-signs, he will never abandon the street blueprint that built him.

Fast, aggressive, and meant to be replayed until the speakers distort, the track serves as a warning shot.

For anyone who thought Central Cee was easing into his fame or going “soft,” this track answers with a cold grin and a heavy bass drop: absolutely not.

Lagos is gearing up for a massive musical moment this December as UK rap sensation Central Cee prepares to take center stage at the 2025 edition of Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged.

The British rapper whose hits Doja and Sprinter have dominated global charts is scheduled to perform on December 21 at the Eko Convention Center, joining the star-packed “Detty December” celebrations under Flytime Fest.

This appearance will be Central Cee’s first-ever headline show in Nigeria, marking a significant cultural crossover between the UK’s booming drill scene and Africa’s vibrant Afrobeats movement. With his high-energy performances and massive streaming numbers, the Lagos crowd is expected to turn out in full force for a night of global hits and unforgettable showmanship.

Rhythm Unplugged, famous for pairing African heavyweights with top international performers, continues that tradition with this year’s lineup.

The 2025 festival enjoys major backing from Coca-Cola, Heineken, and several corporate partners who have helped maintain the event’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s biggest end-of-year entertainment staples.

Tickets for Central Cee’s headline night are officially on sale, available exclusively on Cene and Cene+ through the Rhythm Unplugged website.

Lagos is set for a December to remember.

The sold-out concert delivered a breathtaking fusion of Afrobeats and classical music, creating a sonic masterpiece that had the crowd on its feet in awe.

Performing with a 33-piece orchestra, Asake reimagined some of his biggest hits, including “Lonely at the Top” and “Terminator,” transforming them into sweeping symphonic renditions without losing the Fuji and Amapiano energy that defines his sound.

The blend highlighted his artistic versatility and underscored Afrobeats’ growing global influence.

The night became even more electrifying with surprise appearances from global stars Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy, who joined Asake for powerful collaborations on songs like “MMS” and “Happiness.”

Their cameos not only thrilled the audience but also emphasized Asake’s expanding international reach and influence across music genres.

In a special moment, Asake gave fans an exclusive preview of an unreleased track from his upcoming album, Mr. Money.

The introspective song, built around themes of faith, perseverance, and hard work, hinted at a more reflective and evolved side of the artist, instantly sparking online excitement and anticipation for the project’s release.

More than a concert, the night marked a cultural milestone for African music. Asake’s groundbreaking Red Bull Symphonic performance showcased Afrobeats’ power to transcend borders and genres, while cementing his place as one of the genre’s most innovative global ambassadors.

As the final notes echoed through Kings Theatre, one thing was clear: Asake’s Brooklyn debut wasn’t just a performance, it was history in motion: a celebration of artistic brilliance, cultural pride, and Afrobeats’ unstoppable rise on the world stage.

Nigerian street-pop sensation Shallipopi has teamed up with UK rap heavyweight Central Cee for an electrifying new remix of his viral hit “LAHO,” creating a genre-defying anthem set to shake up the global music scene.

Titled LAHO (Version 4), the highly anticipated remix fuses Shallipopi’s signature Plutoman sound a raw, experimental spin on Afropop, with Central Cee’s razor-sharp UK drill delivery.

The result? A gritty, cross-continental banger built for dance floors, car stereos, and playlists from Lagos to London.

Originally a fan favourite in Shallipopi’s catalogue, LAHO now gets a global facelift, elevated by Central Cee’s lyrical finesse and magnetic flow.

Their chemistry breathes new life into the track, reflecting how African street music and UK rap continue to push boundaries and merge cultures.

With excitement already bubbling online, LAHO (Version 4) is primed to be a summer anthem. Fans are urged to turn on notifications and stay locked in; this fiery collaboration is dropping soon.

In a recent sit-down with Complex, Nigerian Afropop sensation Ayra Starr opened up about the rappers she dreams of collaborating with, and her list spans both sides of the Atlantic.

Topping the list is UK rap star Central Cee, whom Ayra praised for his sound and cultural relevance. “A song with him would definitely go hard,” she said, expressing excitement about what their fusion could sound like.

Also on her wishlist is Dave, the Nigerian-British rapper known for his lyrical depth and Afrocentric collaborations. Given Dave’s track record with Nigerian artists, from “Location” with Burna Boy to linking up with Boj and Oxlade, this pick feels like a natural progression.

Turning to the U.S., Ayra Starr didn’t hesitate to name Young Thug as an inspiration. “I grew up on Young Thug. He’s still amazing. He’s still a G,” she noted, crediting the Atlanta rapper’s influence on her musical journey.

Perhaps the most unexpected name she mentioned? Jay-Z.

“I think for my inner child, I need a song with Jay-Z,” Ayra said, describing how such a collaboration would fulfil a childhood dream and mark a personal milestone.

With a Grammy nomination under her belt and a steadily rising global profile, Ayra Starr’s vision for future collaborations reflects her bold ambition and ever-expanding artistic reach. From UK drill to American hip-hop royalty, she’s aiming for legacy and the stars.

Wireless Festival 2025 served up a major shocker on Sunday night as global rap icon Drake took the stage at Finsbury Park and stunned fans with a surprise appearance by UK rap heavyweight Central Cee.

In what has quickly become one of the festival’s most talked-about highlights, the duo debuted an unreleased collaboration live for the first time, triggering a massive reaction from the crowd.

Set against a pulsating drill-influenced beat, the track showcased Drake’s smooth melodic flow, setting the stage for Central Cee’s punchy wordplay and signature West London flair.

The chemistry between both stars was undeniable, and judging by the crowd’s explosive response, the track is already being tipped as a future chart-topper.

Although neither the song’s title nor release date was confirmed during the performance, anticipation is already building online, with fans praising the surprise drop and speculating about a potential joint project.

The performance marks a powerful cultural crossover, fusing Toronto’s finesse with London’s street energy, and further solidifies the global appeal of UK rap and drill music.

With Drake’s global pull and Central Cee’s rapid rise as one of the UK’s most dynamic voices, this collaboration is primed to make a major impact across continents once it officially drops.
