Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has reacted to a recent skit from comedian Bovi about him while mocking comedian AY Makun.

In the video, Bovi is seen haggling for the release of several celebrities, offering millions of naira for some and amusingly recommending a lower price, N250k, for Seun Kuti.

The abductor was not satisfied with the amount and threatened to kill Seun if Bovi mentioned it again. Bovi kept saying “250, 250” because he wanted the abductors to kill Seun.

During a recent Instagram live session, Seun Kuti praised Bovi as a witty person and contrasted him with AY Makun, whom he sarcastically called not very good at comedy.

The musician was amused by Bovi’s creativity while shading AY Makun.

He said,

“Oh, that Bovi skit, e no go better for Bovi. the guy no well, him be wan even do am for his show, him don tell me, Bovi is a funny guy, not like that other guy that is not funny. His name rhymes with Dakun, nowhere him no dey beg.”

Popular Nigerian skit maker turned singer, Michael Nasiru Lawal, widely known as Nasboi, hosted a lavish cocktail party to celebrate his hit track “Umbrella,” featuring Wande Coal. The star-studded event took place in Lagos on Sunday, January 7, 2024, and garnered attention as videos from the party surfaced online.

The gathering boasted a celebrity lineup, with notable figures such as rappers Falz and Skales, comedian Bovi, singer Paul Okoye with his partner Ivy Ifeoma, and skit makers Lasisi Elenu, MC Lively, and Broda Shaggy in attendance.

Award-winning Nigerian stand-up comedian and actor Bovi has joined many other fans in expressing their feelings about Davido’s absence.

Bovi has reacted to Davido’s long social media absence in an interesting way.

Recall, Davido went away from social media after his son, Ifeanyi, drowned in his swimming pool in October 2022. The artist, on the other hand, delivered an incredible performance during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.  The 30BG boss has been sorely missed after being away from music for a few months.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, the socialite disclosed how greatly missing the singer and revealed his plan for when Davido finally makes a reappearance.

Bovi went on to say that he missed Davido as if a babe had broken his heart.
