The TurnTable Top 50 is the music industry standard record chart in Nigeria for songs, published weekly by TurnTable magazine.

Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in Nigeria. The first issue of the chart was launched on Monday, November 9, 2020.

A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by TurnTable on Wednesdays.

Kizz Daniel‘s third studio album, “King of Love,” was released last summer, and it served as a reminder of his exceptional ability to weave love themes into breezy Afropop tunes.

Kizz Daniel‘s new track “Lie” has made quite a stir for the Pop musician after making quite an impression this year.

Quickly proving its preeminence amongst Kizz Daniel’s other records this year, in its first week on the Turntable charts, “Lie” amassed 2.24 million equivalent streams and an even more impressive 55.8 million airplay impressions.

With the third biggest debut week in Turntable Top 50 history (behind “Rock” and “Understand”), Kizz Daniel’s debut at number one with “Lie” marks the artist’s first-ever chart-topping entry.

Ousted by “Lie,” after spending three non-consecutive weeks at number one, Omah Lay’s latest infectious hit, “Understand” drops one position.

The number 2 record is followed by Ladipoe’s “Feeling”, which stays at number 3 again this week.

Positions 4 and 5 are made up of “Sinner” by Adekunle Gold, which slid down from 2 to 4, and AV’s “Big Thug Boys”, on the up, from 6 to 5, this week.

Last week, Fireboy DML recorded a two-place jump, with his latest single, “Peru” rising from 10 to 8.

This week again, “Peru” similarly ascends to number 6, followed by Olamide’s “Rock” at 7 and “Bounce” by Ruger at 8 – both three spots down from last week.

As Patoranking’s “Celebrate Me” slips down to 9, Naira Marley rounds out the Turntable Top 50’s top 10, with a noteworthy entry.

With his new singe earning 2.18 million equivalent streams to debut at No.10, “Drug Test” makes it all three of Naira Marley’s Top 50 chart entries to have scored a place in the top 1.

Turntable Charts is a music chart publication in Nigeria with the aim of providing weekly charts for the music industry in Nigeria and other Africa.

Omah Lay, who currently holds the record for the longest consecutive weeks at number one (11 weeks) with his smash single “Godly,” continues to rule the Turntable Top 50.

The artist’s most recent No. 1 hit, “Understand,” has now spent a third week at the top of the charts.

This week, “Understand” had a radio reach of 48.7 million, down 6% from the previous week, but was up 27% online with 2.03 million equivalent streams.

Omah Lay can confidently say that all of his number one appearances have spent at least 3 weeks at the top, with a television reach of 529,000.

As “Understand” maintains its position at number one, Omah Lay can proudly declare that all of his number one appearances have spent at least 3 weeks at the top.

A fantastic achievement for the Popstar who makes number one singles look easy.

Adekunle Gold‘s “Sinner,” which debuted in the top five last week, has climbed even higher on the charts, moving from number four to number two.

This comes after an 8% rise in radio reach (36.3 million) and a massive 121 percent increase in TV reach, with 9.43 million people watching the show this week.

The highest-charting song by Adekunle Gold, “Sinner,” is followed by Ladipoe‘s “Feeling” and Olamide‘s “Rock” at #3 and #4, respectively.

Ruger’s “Bounce,” which re-enters the top five after a week-long spell at number six last week, rounds out the top five for this week.

While AV‘s “Big Thug Boys” drops one spot to number 6, Patoranking‘s “Celebrate Me” climbs to number 7.

Similarly, Fireboy‘s “Peru” climbs two spots to number eight, up from number ten last week.

Rema’s “Soundgasm” appears to be slipping out of the top ten.

This week, “Soundgasm” drops from 8 to 9 on the chart, with “Monalisa” – from Sarz and Lojay’s joint project, ‘LV N ATTN’ – rounding out the top 10.

“Monalisa” is the fifth song from Sony Music West Africa and the UK to appear in the top 10 of Turntable’s Top 50 charts without having had any Audiomack streams.

Ruger‘s “Bounce,” JAE5′s “Dimensions,” Burna Boy and Becky G‘s “Rotate,” and “Monalisa” all made the top ten, which is impressive given how influential Audiomack is in Nigeria’s streaming arena.

Gyakie‘s “Forever (Remix),” which spent three weeks at the top without any Audiomack streaming, is particularly fearsome.
