David Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, has reacted to comedian AY’s public apology for his insensitive joke.

During a recent stage performance in Warri, AY made rude remarks about Davido trying to conceive with his larger manhood for over 13 years while using his smaller one on numerous women.

Internet users criticized the comedian for demeaning his fellow entertainer in public with this remark.

After receiving criticism, AY wrote an apology to the artist on Instagram and blamed the misunderstanding on the way some bloggers misinterpreted his comments.

He wrote: “I am very sorry for the way that joke came out in Warri. You have every right to be angry after seeing how it was used by blogs. Please understand that we are all constantly learning in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash coming my way for the poorly delivered joke in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason for them. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido.”

Davido responded to the comedian’s apologies by telling him not to worry in the comments section.

He wrote: “Nothing spoil baba mi.”

Afrobeats superstar Davido has received a public apology from comedian Ayo Makun, popularly referred to as AY, for making an offensive joke about him.

After a video of AY criticizing Davido during the latter’s recent concert in Warri went viral on social media, AY has been in the news.

As he made fun of Davido’s numerous baby mothers, he turned the joke on the singer.

13 years after the birth of his first kid, Michelle, the comedian welcomed a new child into the family.

Speaking in the viral video, AY said: “Davido, with his small prick, dey give people belle, belle, belle, belle. With my big Warri prick, 13 years belle no come.”

Many online users felt the joke to be insulting and disrespectful, and they criticized him for using the artist in such a personal and potentially painful way.

AY apologized to Davido on his official Instagram page after receiving negative feedback.

He wrote: “I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of Canada and US and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.

“Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered. No excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido.”

Rudeboy has expressed regret for his last remark to comedian AY Makun, in which he urged him to quit hesitating and declare his preference for the general elections in 2023.

The comedian and father of two was invited to back a candidate ahead of the next elections by Paul Okoye, a steadfast supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

It all began when AY Makun uploaded a post regarding Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu, and Atiku on his Instagram page a few hours ago.

On his page, the comedian reposted a piece that listed all people registered to vote in the 2023 presidential election.

The post reads: “Knowing that we have 70,473,990 under the age of 49 years out of the 93,469,008 total registered voters for the 2023 presidential election, with a percentage of about 75%, it is clear that the youths cannot be disregarded this time. So where does your PVC direct you?”

It held the caption: “Can your level of Atikulation to this question be traced to your senses of Obedience in saying “EMI lokan?”

Reacting to AY’s Instagram post. Rudeboy tackled the comedian for not picking a side and sitting on the fence.

Using AY as a contact point for other celebrities yet to come public with their preferred presidential candidate, the “Audio Money” crooner advised they quit their hidden games.

Rudeboy wrote: “Bro make Una no dey stand for fence.”

But the actor responding to the singer noted: “@iamkingrudy some of us do pass you for this matter. If you no know ask questions, you get my number.”

Feeling pressed to respond in detail to his colleague’s curiosity, AY on second thought informed him that what he does goes beyond merely entertaining the ‘Obidients’ for a fee. Rather he has been fully occupied with sitting and planning strategically with stakeholders for a better Nigeria.

He added: “@iamkingrudy No need to even call me. Make I answer you here, since you already get idea of wetin you don plan to achieve with this comment.

“There is a major difference in entertaining the Obedient audience at a fee and sitting planning strategically and directly with stakeholders for a better Nigeria.

“Our Endsars Social media showcase only cost us innocent lives without getting the expected results.

“To you on social media, I am sitting on the fence. Do you, and what you understand for now. But you will only apologize later.”

Perceiving he may have goofed with his initial ‘attack’ on the humor merchant, King Rudy apologised.

He said: “@aycomedian I will not apologize later … I will apologize right now …. And very sorry bro how my comment turns out … yes you are right about having your number, but the honest truth is that we’ve gone beyond pvc registration to almost done with collecting pvc ….. is almost a month to election my brother ….

According to Tonipane, she reached out to AY to allow Olamide to perform at his AY live show when Olamide was still an up and coming artist but the popular comedian refused.

She further revealed that the comedian came back the next year when Olamide has started getting popular requesting that he performed at his show.

Tonipane who said that she had the intention of turning down AY’s offer unless he paid however revealed that ID Cabasa was the one who insisted that Olamide performs at the show for free.

Taking to her social media page to narrate the incident that spoilt her cordial relationship with Comedian AY Tonipane took to her Instagram story to speak o how Ay refused to allow Olamide to perform at his show.
