Popular Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has sent an open letter to Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over comments of a striking resemblance with Nigeria’s incoming president.

In his birthday greeting to the former governor of Lagos State on Wednesday, 29, 2023, the artist made the claims.

In the tweet below, Shatta Wale made a statement with a picture of himself wearing an agbada next to a picture of Tinubu.

The Ghanaian musician is anticipating seeing the politician soon since he has taken the likeness comparison as good luck. Shatta Wale writes in his open letter that he would dearly want to sing one of his songs for Tinubu.

The three of the candidates running for president in the 2023 elections—Peter Obi, Mr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar—have sent their condolences to Davido in light of his son’s tragic passing.

Kwankwaso noted in a tweet that his heart goes out to Davido and Chioma at this difficult moment, while also praying for God’s direction during this awful season.

“My heart and prayers go to David Adeleke @davido and Chioma, in this very trying time. May God guide and keep you through this tragic period. – RMK”

Similarly, Atiku expressed that his thoughts and prayers were with Davido and Chioma, and that may God comfort them in this painful period.

Earlier today, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Ifeanyi, Davido’s son died after reportedly drowning in a swimming pool at their Banana Island residence. It was reported that the 3-year-old had spent long minutes in the pool before being discovered and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

We also reported that The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday picked up eight of Davido’s domestic workers for questioning in connection with the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke.

In another tweet, he claimed that candidates should be able to provide answers to reduce poverty in the country, raise citizens’ living standards, and combat insecurity and brain drain from important industries.

“We have to keep asking these candidates what their plans are. Plans to; raise revenues to address budget deficits, foster unity along tribal and religious lines, revamp the education sector & cut back on excessive recurrent expenditures. It shouldn’t just be business as usual.

In addition: what are their plans to alleviate poverty, improve the standard of living of the Nigerian people, tackle insecurity and address brain drain from critical sectors. We are at a crossroads. Now, more than ever, we need capable hands at the helm.”

Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa nicknamed Charly Boy discusses his strategy should Bola Ahmed Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar win the presidential election in Nigeria in 2023.

This comes after Tinubu was voted as the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) flagbearer on June 8th, and will now compete in the 2023 general elections alongside Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other candidates from other political parties.

Tinubu won the APC presidential primary election with 1,271 votes at the just-concluded primary at the Eagle Square, Abuja, on Wednesday.

He defeated his arch contenders, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who came second with 316 votes, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who secured 235 votes.

The self-acclaimed Area Fada based on the basic realities stated that he will relocate to Ghana if Tinubu or Atiku wins and beg them for citizenship.

Reacting on Wednesday via his Twitter handle, Charly Boy tweeted with the pictures of the politicians: “If any of these two wins, I go just leave una waka go Ghana, go beg dem for citizenship. Buhari will look like a saint.”

Rapper, Vector recounted his interaction with presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku and his impressions of him.

On Pulse Nigeria’s Terms & Conditions podcast, Vector discussed meeting with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate for 2023.

The rapper appeared on the show to discuss current events such as the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard court case as well as the upcoming elections.

Speaking on the presidential candidate, Vector had said “Atiku will not forget me, I met him once.”

Quizzed further by the host, Melody Hassan to share more details on the experience, he narrated his interaction with Atiku, saying;

“So sir you know if you become the president, you’re our father according to African belief?” Vector had then hit him with a question on his manifesto, asking; “So what are your plans for the people who dig potholes on Federal roads so that there can be traffic so that they can sell gala?”

Nigerian musician Mr. P of Psquare music group has reacted to the growing number of aspirants declaring their intention to run for the 2023 presidential election.

On Thursday, 5th of May 2022, Mr. P urged the politicians to relax, stating that the presidential contest now seemed like a beer parlour declaration.

On his Instagram page, the singer wrote,

“The way these people dey declare to run for the 2023 presidency eh! E don pass beer parlor drink declaration. Ah, make una just calm down na. Just saying.”

The growing number of presidential aspirants in the past few days has raised concerns, especially with the lingering strike by Nigerian lecturers.

Nigerian artist Timi Dakolo has reacted to Nigerians who want him to cancel his performance at Atiku Abubakar’s declaration ceremony and this response might stir up more backlash.

Nigerians are presently attacking the musician on Twitter for performing at Abubakar’s official declaration ceremony, where he announces his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election in Nigeria.

This “call to cancel” started later in the day on the 23rd of March 2022 and placed Timi Dakolo on Twitter trend tables when a Twitter user @olaolu_thaniel made a public announcement that Timi Dakolo was performing in Abuja International Conference Centre “endorsing Atiku”.

Timi Dakolo then replied to the tweet, saying, “I will sing and collect bread my guy, if it pains you well well, go sing your own…” ending the tweet with a laughing emoji.

The response has further stirred reactions as Nigerians on Twitter demand he is “cancelled” for “using his skills to campaign for Atiku”.

Recall, In January 2022, The “Iyawo Mi” hitmaker had earlier stated that he will not hesitate to perform for any politician this coming election if the need arises and it meant him “collecting money”.

This statement was made on the 13th of January via Twitter after a Tweep by the name @kingadetunji responded to Timi Dakolo’s tweet where he said Timi will sing for the politicians as Nigerians enter another political campaign era.

In response, Timi Dakolo had confidently told the Twitter user that he will do just that and “collect” his “money”.

This was earlier in January and in March, the singer was doing just that, as he was spotted performing for a political rally.

According to some Nigerians that are reacting, Timi Dakolo’s act is one ladened with “hypocrisy as his act is not different from Taribo West praying for Tinubu on his birthday”

Other Nigerians believe that the ‘Great Nation’ singer was only using his skills to get his bread and should not be cancelled for that because doing one’s job does not equate to support for the politician.

Too many people say Dakolo singing for Atiku is not the problem, their problem is the complaints from influencers in Nigeria when other artists perform for the other political parties.

On Sunday, November 21, 2021, the former Vice President, Atiku took to Twitter to commend the musician for his courageous move.

He wrote;

Davido has come clean as regards his stand in the 2019 general elections.

The London O2 Arena conqueror declared that he is not a PDP supporter, but a supporter of change.
