With five awards, Burna Boy was the African artist with the most nominations. His hit song “City Boys” earned him nominations for Outstanding Male Artist, Outstanding International Song, Outstanding Hip-Hop/Rap Song, Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (with 21 Savage for Sittin’ On Top of the World), and Outstanding Album (with I Told Them).

Davido was nominated for Outstanding Male Artist, Outstanding International Song for Unavailable with Musa Keys, and Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album for Sensational, which features Chris Brown, Lojay, and Davido. Finally, he was nominated for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration in the Contemporary category, with Chris Brown and Lojay for Sensational.

J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival has revealed its roster for one of the most eagerly awaited musical events of the festival this year via his social media page, after the news of its return in 2023.

Artists from all over the world are expected to perform at the festival, which will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, from April 1-2 in Dorothea Dix Park.

The talented singer took to her social media platform to announce that she had joined the list of talented acts selected for a new Coca-Cola campaign.

The campaign is in collaboration with Universal Music Group and its artists creating a music platform for the biggest music platform for emerging talents.

Nigerian superstar artist Wizkid and Tems‘ Essence has been nominated for the 2021 HipHopDX Awards for Best R&B Song of the Year.

This was shared via Instagram on Monday, the 13th of December 2021.

Essence, dubbed “the song of the summer” by many, is a song from Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album, which was released in 2020.

The afro-pop tune which features talented Nigerian songstress Tems is a soothing mid-tempo song that has taken over the music scene on a global scale.

The headliners for ONE Musicfest, the largest two-day urban progressive music festival in Atlanta, were announced on the 29th of June, with Burna Boy being on the line-up.

American Music Stars, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, and the Isley Brothers among the artists kicking off the 50,000-person destination festival in Atlanta. The event is being produced by Live Nation Urban in collaboration with ONE Musicfest.

Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla Sign, Fabolous, Kirk Franklin, Lucky Daye, SWV, Amerie, Masego, Tiana Major9 and several others would also be performing at the event.
