In a recent interview, American record producer Kasseem Daoud Dean, known professionally as Swizz Beatz, discussed how he introduced Wizkid and Burna Boy to America.

In a recent podcast ’roundtable’ on Amazon Prime, legendary producer Swizz Beatz revealed how he and his wife Alicia Keys were the first to bring two of the greatest Afrobeats singers, Big Wiz and African Giant, to America.

According to the renowned DJ, they introduced American audiences to Afrobeats by sharing a video of themselves dancing to Wizkid’s songs when the genre was not yet known to US music lovers.

During the conversation, he added that before Burna Boy gained widespread recognition, he offered him a stage to play for an audience in the US.

He said, “I introduced Wizkid to America. I was the first person to play his song. Me and my wife [Alicia Keys] were on a trip and we danced to his songs.

“I was [also] the first person to bring Burna Boy to the States. I introduced him on the stage. When I was playing Fela Kuti, people thought I was being too African. And that how ignorant the energy was at that time. 

“Alicia Keys and I were the first people that introduced Wizkid to American audiences and I was also the first person to bring Burna Boy to the States.”

American singer, songwriter, and pianist Alicia Augello Cook, known professionally as Alicia Keys is returning to the road this summer as she reveals the date for her upcoming tour.

Dates have been set for the R&B singer’s “Keys to the Summer Tour.” The 22-date stadium tour, which is being put on by Live Nation, gets underway on June 28 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, with stops in Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Chicago before coming to an end on August 2 in Los Angeles.

It’s going to be colorful, magical and will light up your body, soul and all of your senses! This is my first time creating a 360 experience and we’ve made sure it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen! It comes after “The Alicia + Keys World Tour,” which had stops in both North America and Europe, last year. She will travel to Latin America in May for a number of performances.

In December 2021, Keys released her most recent album, KEYS. Pusha T, Lil Wayne, Khalid, Lucky Daye, and more artists made appearances on the 26-track double set. She released the deluxe version of KEYS II in August, which included the song “Trillions” by Brent Faiyaz.

Pre-sales will start right now and last through Thursday, April 20. At 9 a.m. local time on Friday, April 21, the general on-sale starts.

American singer-songwriter Taylor Alison Swift is about to fill another blank space on her resume with a career-celebrating prize at the iHeartRadio Music Awards which will be held later this month and will feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar, Hugo Long, Cody Johnson, Coldplay, and Pink, who is the winner of this year’s Icon Award.

According to organizers, Swift will receive the Innovator Award on March 27 in honor of her widespread influence on popular culture.

“Along with her artistic success, Taylor’s generosity and philanthropy have inspired millions,” iHeartRadio said in its announcement. “She’s an advocate for women’s rights and the LGBTQ+ community, using her music and platform to inspire young people to use their voting power.”

The 33-year-old Swift is a 13-time winner at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and released her tenth album, “Midnights,” in October. With seven nominations, she is tied for the most at this year’s awards, including artist of the year and song of the year for “Anti-Hero.”

Fans will be bidding their goodbyes to Takeoff, the late Migos rapper at a funeral service to be held at the State Farm arena.

Many people are still in shock after learning about Takeoff’s demise. The Migos rapper was tragically shot, according to the police, after an altercation at a bowling alley.

Fans, friends, and peers have continued to pay tribute to the late member of the Migos in recent times, despite the fact that there are still many unsolved questions.

On Friday, his birthplace of Atlanta will play host to a sizable memorial service. The service will be held at the 20,000-seat State Farm Arena, where Justin Bieber is scheduled to perform.

The funeral service tickets were sold out after they were made available for free. State Farm revealed that they have surpassed capacity in a message on Twitter.

They also asked those who weren’t able to get inside the venue to stay away from the downtown core.

“UPDATE: Tickets for the Celebration of Life for Takeoff scheduled for Nov. 11th are NO longer available. The event has reached capacity,” the statement reads. State Farm “strongly encouraged” fans without tickets to refrain from showing up. “No gifts or items will be permitted to be left at or near the venue.”

Nigerian highlife singer, and songwriter Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold and AG Baby, has previewed an unreleased single while performing in Canada.

Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Adekunle has blown away the audience as he gives outstanding performances at NPR’s Music Tiny Desk.

The ‘High‘ crooner performed songs from his 2022 album ‘Catch Me If You Can.’ With the assistance of a dynamic live band, Adekunle Gold delivered a unique rendition of his 2022 Headies nominated Song of the Year ‘Sinner‘ featuring Lucky Daye and many more.

His performance sees him join global superstars Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Anderson Paak, and Harry Styles as artists who have delivered memorable Tiny Desk performances for NPR Music.

On Saturday 11th June 2022 the video of Afrobeats highlife star AG Baby performing an unreleased single in Canada was posted via social media.

The unreleased single has the singer blending dancehall melody with his trademark Afropop style. The Kel P produced single wowed concertgoers, who had the opportunity to hear an unreleased song from the sensational Afrobeats star.

The Sinner hitmaker who is currently touring the United States and Canada has teased his Afrobeats fans in both countries on what they can expect from more exclusive previews.
