Ahmed, the 17-year-old youngster who called out Grammy winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, for failing to keep a promise he made to him, has finally spoken the truth about the 10m saga.

During a concert in 2017, the young rapper caught Big Wiz’s attention because of his rapping abilities. On stage, Wizkid made a huge N10M pledge to the young rapper.

However, four years later (2021), the boy reappeared to accuse Wizkid of failing to fulfil his commitment. He asserted that Wizkid only provided catering for him and funding for his education (from which he purportedly was expelled), but never N10 million in cash.

In a recent development, the lad in a new video took back his words while revealing that he actually received the cash gift from Starboy but his family members were after him.

According to him, the voodoo used on him by his family caused the whole money to vanish without him doing anything tangible with it.

He apologized to Nigerians for his initial lies and affirmed that Wizkid is a man of his word. He added that he has made a lot of mistakes in life which he regrets.

It may be recalled that Big Wiz also announced during their meeting in 2018 that he would give the boy a record deal. Just recently, it was also revealed that he enrolled Ahmed into school and has been paying school fees to the tune of N3 million for him and another kid who was a former vulcaniser.

Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid as one of his bodyguards called Roy has revealed and defended Big Wiz as he shared the details of Ahmed’s contract with Wizkid.

Following Starboy Ahmed’s criticism of Wizkid yesterday for failing to fulfil a #10 million pledge, Wizkid’s bodyguard, Roy, has finally disclosed what happened between his boss and Ahmed.

According to Roy, Wizkid actually gave Ahmed the #10 million he promised him 4 years ago.

He disclosed that Starboy did more than give him the money, He kept Ahmed in one of the best schools in Lagos (Caleb secondary school) and got his parent a new apartment.

Roy further added that the boy is just an ingrate who smoked weed and finally got expelled from school.

Roy wrote:

“Ahmed is an Ingrate, Wizkid gave him more than N10Million and put him in one of the best schools in Lagos (Caleb) also got him and his parents a new apartment and furnished it, but ahmed was busy smoking Igbo up and down and was into g**ng stuffs and that was why he got Expelled from Caleb”.

Roy then advised social media users to move on with their lives and not to pay attention to Ahmed.

He also shared a picture of the second kid Wizkid sent to the same Caleb school, Basit on his Instastory with the caption; ‘God Bless You Son’.

Nigerian Grammy award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid has been called out by Ahmed in which social media users have weighed in on the case with their reactions.

Recall, mp3bullet.ng reported that a young boy, Ahmed called out Wizkid for refusing to fulfil the #10 Million promise he made to him 5 years ago.

According to him, Starboy never gave him the money and he also didn’t sign him to Starboy records as he promised.

The boy also revealed that because of Big Wiz’s broken promise, he is currently rapping and begging people for money on the streets of Lagos.

Social media fans who had been following the gist for a long time chose to share their thoughts.

The majority advised Ahmed to forget about the promise because Big Wiz has no intention of fulfilling it.

They also disclosed that Wizkid hasn’t finished taking care of his children- Tife and Ayo and Ahmed is hoping he would give him #10 million.

According to Wizkid FC, their favourite did give the boy the money, but he spent it on drugs. Wizkid allegedly sent him to school, but he was expelled after being detected doing drugs.

Multiple witnesses have come to the defence of Wizkid, claiming that the singer gave Ahmed a N10 million cash gift, which his parents squandered.

After Wizkid Balogun, a popular Nigerian Grammy award-winning artist was accused of failing to keep his promises to a 12-year-old youngster named Ahmed he promised to sign, multiple witnesses have come forward to support him.

This comes after a Twitter user claimed that the young child Wizkid promised a N10 million cash present and a record deal to is still wandering the streets of Lagos: a narrative that painted the singer in an unfavourable light.

Multiple witnesses debunk the claims, saying that Wizkid gave Ahmed a N10 million cash gift, which his parents misappropriated.

@frozio_tha_barber said, “Person wey post this dey go hell. The boy you talking about na from my street for ketu and i can confirm to you that Wizzy gave him the 10milli then, una fit ask anybody for ketu… if the boy dey rap for street dey collect money, ask him & his mother how they spend the 10milli, so saying what you don’t know, he fit don spend am on weed & drugs so making it look like Wizzy didn’t keep his promise.”

Another witness said, “Hello I want to address the issue of Ahmed. Wizkid gave him the money he promised but the boy parents misused all d money. I live in d same street with this boy in irawo ikorodu. U can ask if you get anyone who lives at irawo or ójómó area for ikorodu.”

Two months after signing 10-year-old Ahmed, Wizkid has made another big move to sign another talented artiste called Terri to StarBoy Entertainment.

Wizkid who made the announcement on Twitter welcomed Terri into the Starboy entertainment family, revealing that he had come across Terri on Instagram when the talented singer tagged him to a cover of the song he did with DJ Jimmy Jatt ‘Oshe‘ in December and voila! the artiste got signed for his great talent… Just laidat!

Terri will be making his first official appearance as a member of the Starboy gang in Wizkid’s first ever EP, Made in Lagos specifically in the song Soco, which Wizkid also announced on Twitter will be dropping on February 20th featuring Terri, Spotless, Ceeza Milli and produced by Northboi.

We would notice that there is a trend with how Wizkid is recruiting his new Starboy gang, signing not just the talented, as we have so many talented artistes in the country, but also the bold ones who are coming forward with their crafts to showcase to him. We would also note that these crafts mostly show how much the artistes respect Wizkid as the Starboy that he is.

It is also great to note that one thing Starboy is evidently promising these talents he is surrounding himself with is that he’s here for them with the words “Daddy Yo got you” and it can also be seen as Wizkid repeating history by taking chances on these artistes the same way he was given a chance to shine by his former management, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).

While we say congrats to Terri, we can’t help but wonder who would be the next lucky artiste to get signed into the Starboy gang.
