Adeyinka Alaseyori and her husband have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, into the world.

Fans and followers of the gospel performer gushed when she posted a video montage on Instagram that featured adorable images of her growing baby bulge.

Adeyinka thanked everyone who had shown them love and support while also giving God praise for the safe delivery.

Sharing the video, she wrote: “To God alone be all the glory. It ended in praise.”

Gospel minister, Abimbola Fire talks about her musical journey and her family.

Nigerian gospel sensation, Bimbo Ponmile in a recent interview has shared her music journey, the origin of her stage name, and revealed her upcoming album.

The ‘Comforter‘ crooner when asked how she came about the name, ‘Abimbola Fire’ explained that her Pastor gave her the name.

” I basically was singing one day in church, and my pastor, Reverend Deji Olabode climbed the stage and said, your name is Abimbola Fire,” she said.

Bimbo also talked about how she started off as a backup singer. According to her, “starting out I believe that I am a professional backup artiste. Not even as a profest. Because I didn’t envisage that I will probably be a songwriter. Though I have been writing songs but I didn’t believe that I will sing those songs.

“So, I write songs for people to sing, that was how I started.”

In the course of backing up professional singers, Bimbo realized she could own the stage and thus pursued the goal.

Further, when asked what to expect this year, Abimbola explained that she has many singles, an album that would be dropping in April, and other activities.

“Expect a lot. I mean, when I say a lot, no boundaries. Singles, album, by the way, I will be dropping an album by April. I am working towards that already,” she said.

Her husband, Soji Alabi in a loving message shared on his Instagram account described Tope, as his best friend.

In June 2021, a video of ace gospel singer Tope Alabi criticizing a popular Christian song, Oniduro Mi, sung by iconic singers Tolu Adelegan and Adeyinka Alaseyori on separate occasions went viral on the Nigerian online space.

“Oniduro Mi” is a Yoruba word that means “guarantor.” The hymn extols God as a guarantor and one who never abandons His people.

Alabi said that God was more than a guarantor to her while commenting on the song. The singer went on to say that there was a period when she wanted to sing the song, but the Holy Spirit forbade her.

The topic triggered a heated debate on Nigerian social media platforms, particularly Twitter, with some online users slamming Alabi.

However, Alaseyori, one of the song’s vocalists, calmed the situation in the midst of the uproar.

She said

“Let Jesus take the wheel. Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother. She’s a mother to me and so many others and by virtue, we have been blessed by her ministrations. Please, let us worship and celebrate God. Let Jesus be at the centre of it”.
