Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido has responded to Dammy Krane’s accusations of owed royalties and the public dispute over money, escalating the conflict on social media.

In the early 2010s, Dammy Krane achieved widespread success with collaborations featuring renowned superstars, including 2Face, Davido, and Shatta Wale, among others.

Since 2022, Dammy Krane has been publicly calling out Nigerian megastar Davido, asserting that he is owed payments for his contribution to Davido’s single ‘Pere.’

In a tweet, Dammy Krane claimed to have made efforts to reach out regarding split sheets and outstanding payments but received no response, which prompted the tweet.

The situation seems to have sparked a public feud on social media, with both artists sharing their perspectives and grievances with the public.

The DMW boss has broken his silence and responded to Dammy Krane’s ongoing social media criticism. The multi-award-winning artist appears to have reached his limit, branding Dammy Krane as ungrateful.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on October 27, 2023, Davido claimed that Dammy Krane owed him money for the three verses he provided and didn’t compensate him for his production work on ‘Pooner.’

Furthermore, Davido criticized Dammy Krane by alleging that he failed to cover the costs of food and accommodation during his stay at Davido’s Atlanta residence. This response suggests that the dispute between the two artists has escalated, with both parties airing their grievances on social media.

Paul Play explained that since he returned to the scene, he has noticed how hard it is for celebrities to show support for each other.

Despite the fact that it costs them nothing, most music stars, according to him, find it difficult to promote one other’s work on social media platforms.

The song told the story of a fight from Lagbaja’s perceptive and how he responds to the situation. In the song, Lagbaja warns his opponent against looking for trouble and pride.

Maintain Featuring Big Bamo – Ni Bo Lawa

Maintain was a Music duo group consisting of Olu Maintain and his cousin, Tolu Maintain. Later Big Bamo joined them. The group released six albums between 1998 and 2004 with the hit songs “I Catch Cold”, “Domitila” and “Alo” before they separated in 2004.

Their song “Ni Bo Lawa” was released in 2000.

TrybesMen – Plenty Nonsense

Trybesmen (also known as Da Trybe) is an African hip-hop group from Lagos, Nigeria. They were described as the pioneers of Hip Hop in Nigeria.

The group was made up of original members Eldee, Kaboom, and Freestyle and later Oladele and TKO joined the group after the departure of Kaboom and Freestyle.

The group dropped their first album, “L.A.G style Volume 1” twenty years ago and one of their memorable song is “Plenty Nonsense”.

Born in Jos, grew up in Lagos, the man is quite every thing you want him, to be. He even schooled in Enugu. So, practically, like my friend would say, he’s probably Igbo.

• DROP-OUT

Kanye West and Wizkid ain’t the only college dropouts, afterall. Even 2Baba didn’t complete his shot at tertiary education. Rumour has it that, at some point in time, he attended Institute of Management & Technology, in Enugu. But, before he could finish, he dropped out, to pursue music (remember Wizkid?)

In other words, we all love 2Baba, but the 43-year-old hasn’t had the opportunity of completing his tertiary education. He did have an opportunity of attending, though, then he dropped out. Guess he has no regrets!

• FATHER OF MANY NATIONS

Abraham in the bible had only two sons, but he was the “Father of many nations.” Well, that’s no record. As innocent (pun intended, of course) as 2face Idibia looks, he already has seven children. Nobody says he’s stopped trying to have more children.

However, his seven children came from four different women. His wife, Annie has only two kids with him. He actually said he wished all the children came from one woman. Don’t lose sleep about that, the man must be smoking.

• LONG CAREER

Not like you don’t know 2face has been singing for so long. It’s just that, if you’re 23, you probably don’t know he’s been singing before you were conceived. Way back, 1994, 2Face has been grinding really hard, in the industry.

What’s amazing is that, after about two and a half decades, he’s still very relevant, in the industry. Man can still make a hit, without getting the ‘old school’ tag. With tracks like “Officially Blind” and “Amaka” he still perfectly fits into today’s music industry.

• CLASSIC

2face should have plaques for a lot of records he’s holding. He’s got the best pop album ever in Africa, ask anywhere. Not only, he’s got three consecutive classic albums. Which artist doesn’t pray for that?

Starting off with 2004’s “Face 2 Face,” then to 2006’s “Grass 2 Grace,” all his body of works (aka albums) are classics. Even “The Ascension” was a big, not to talk of the International “Unstoppable!” Don’t you think he deserves that Pusha T line, “still giving you classics, that’s the only thing that dates me”?

• AWARDSSS

There are still a couple of Awards we know 2Face deserves but doesn’t have. Like, a Grammy. But all the plaques he has, I think a whole room would be filled up, if they are stored in it.

Five Headies (though Headies started after “Face 2 Face”), one World Music Award, four MTV Africa Music Awards (aka MAMA), one MOBO, one KORA, BET, to name a few. Trust me when I say, he’s a bad-ass!

• KENNIS

But none of all these feats (at least, almost none) would have been possible, if 2Baba hadn’t hook up with Kennis Music. During 2face’s prime time (look what I did there?), Kennis was the biggest thing in the industry. If you were signed to Kennis, you’re blown. That was the only way.

2Face, who at the time had a split up from Plantashun Boiz, got introduced to Kenny Ogungbe, by Eedris Abdulkareem, and was subsequently signed. Then, he was unleashed. With the help of the label, his album was pushed, and he became the 2Baba we all know today. Although, not long after he left the label to start his own imprint, Hypertek, the truth is, Kennis made him what he became. Technically.

And, yeah, technically, he’s the G.O.A.T!

For a while we’ve been lacking females in the industry as a whole, but the invasion of the likes of Tiwa Savage, Simi, Niniola, Yemi Alade, has changed things. Imagine Simi having one of the best albums last year. Tiwa doing some of the hottest singles. BUT, that revolution didn’t touch rap.

Soul E dropped his debut song Soul E baba dey here in 2006/2007 followed by another hit, E soji, E jasi. Just at the bud of his musical career he was said to have been married to Queen Ure. This “relationship” eventually became the lead story as to why Soul E left the music scene.

it was rumoured that Soul E whose real name is Emmanuel Okose disappeared from music radar following a love -gone -sour situation with his ex, Queen Ure but the handsome dude who recently married debunked such falsehood.

He  claims he left the music scene after he received a call from God while he was in Singapore. He said “I was in Singapore at a train station and a white man walked up to me and spoke in Yoruba, “do you want God to turn you to a cripple before you do this work? That was the turning point in my life.

Soul E who is now a Prophet has a ministry called ”Kingdom builders” and is legally married to Linda Nkiruka  Soul E  Okose whom he met on Facebook.
